Hello, friends! I’m Autumn, and I’m so excited to share my weight loss journey with you. Over the past year, I’ve lost 75 pounds, and I want to take you on this transformative journey with me. More than just shedding pounds, it’s about becoming healthier physically, mentally, and spiritually. And I believe that together, we can achieve this.

When I first started my weight loss journey, it felt like a daunting challenge. I knew I had to change, but I wasn’t sure where to begin or how to make it stick. Over time, I learned that true transformation requires a shift in mindset, a commitment to consistency, and a community to support and encourage you along the way. That’s what I want to create here – a space where we support one another and grow in every aspect of our lives.

The Mental Transformation: Shifting Your Mindset

The mental part of the journey was where I had to begin. I had to get sick and tired of being sick and tired! See, one major part of my journey that you have to know is that I have struggled with chronic illness for years. It began with Crohns, which is an autoimmune disease. There are so many complications that come with this, I felt as if I would never be able to live a healthy life for years! There are so many things about my chronic conditions that I could share, but for now I will simply say, it has been a huge part of my health journey. I realized that being healthy wasn’t just about calories and exercise—it was also about how I felt. I had to shift my mindset from one of self-doubt to one of self-love. I started replacing negative thoughts with affirmations of strength, gratitude, and resilience.

This process wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. I had to challenge limiting beliefs and let go of old habits that no longer served me. I learned to celebrate my progress, not just my results, and to be kind to myself when I slipped up. Progress isn’t linear, and I had to be okay with that. This is why I’m so passionate about creating a community—because mental transformation is easier when you have others to lean on and share your struggles with.

The Physical Transformation: It Starts with Small Steps

When it comes to weight loss, we all want quick results, but I have learned the hard way that the journey is about consistency. Over the last year, I adopted a sustainable approach that focuses on eating whole, nourishing foods, staying active, and making mindful choices every day. I didn’t deprive myself, but I did start making smarter, healthier decisions that were in alignment with my goals.

I incorporate regular movement into my routine, whether it is to walk on my treadmill, strength training, or simply stretching to keep my body moving. And I don’t aim for perfection. The journey isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being persistent. Some days are tough, but I learned to listen to my body and celebrate the small wins.

The Spiritual Transformation: Connecting to a Higher Power

One thing about me, I am a woman of faith! I have a strong Christian belief in Jesus Christ and I credit him and my faith as the most important factor that has brought me this far on my journey. When you spend days and days on the couch sick and tired, it can get very depressing and lonely. Having a strong prayer life and asking God for strength has been foundational to the success that I have had and I can’t and will not be ashamed about that!

I believe that God is willing to help people reach their goals. But he wants us to help ourselves as well! Pray hard and work hard, God will get you to your goals!!
